Summer Camp 2008 - Info

Next years summer camp will be in the Gower and the beautiful campsite called Parc Le Breos.  Details will follow in the next few months as we plan the camp.  It will be a “back to basics” in contrast to the last few years of high-octane activity based camps, so prepare yourselves for the limited facilities on offer – what a challenge!

Ex-Explorer off to Uni – Oct 07

We say a fond farewell this week to James, who left the Unit in July and attended H007 as his last activity.  Good luck James from the whole unit, keep in touch!

The Pirates are just going from strength to strength – Sept 07

Despite the departure of two members this year, the Unit currently has a very strong membership of 14, and so far this term we have had 3 new members.  This is excellent news as we plan to go to France in 2009 and having a strong unit will ensure that this can happen.

Well done to Pete, who’s had his fair share of headlines this year in the newspapers and on the internet, as he’s just taken out an ACSL warrant for the 64th Portsmouth Scout Group.  Pete’s put in a total of 12 years already having started as a Beaver Scout when he was 6.
