N PARTNERSHIPS N Explorer Units can form links with Scout Troops by way of a Partnership Agreement. This partnership benefits the Troop and the Unit in a few ways: 1) To ensure that Scouts reaching the age of 14 progress in Scouting to Explorers 2) To ensure that the Explorer Unit have the resources necessary to operate as a Unit 3) To ensure that there are good links between the leaders and a good understanding of the needs of the young people The Pirates currently have
links with one Troop in This has been, and continues to be, a very successful link with the majority of the current membership of the Unit coming from the Troop. This does not mean that Scouts
